Description:

'88 road race Mustang (NOT STREET LEGAL).
Has a lot of suspension work done - springs, sway bars, Koni shocks, camber plates, Ford Motorsports front suspension arms, Panhard bar, rear lower control arms with metal bushings. Gutted body, bolt-in cage, aluminum seat, Autometer gauges. The engine is from '01 Explorer, converted to Holley dual-barrel carb, headers, free-flowing exhaust, baffled oil pan, aluminum driveshaft. Other small stuff.
A known problem is that there is a leak between exhaust and cooling system, so that the car is runnable at autocross, but starts to push out coolant at the track. Also has traces of (repaired) damage on the right front fender.
Other parts included: a set of hubs and rotors with all disc brakes (5-stud), extra set of wheels with Hoosier tires, fuel-injection intake manifold and air ducting, FI computer is still in the car, electric fan, heads from another (older) motor, other small stuff like brake pads.
I've bought this car as a project, instead of my other race car. But that other car, Mazda-323, is not selling, and I need to get rid of one of the cars.
Asking $5000 OBO. All reasonable offers considered. Or if you're interested in Mazda, contact me too. Sergey, 908-928-0501 (evenings).
